Noah needs your prayers

I am asking all who visit this blog to pray for little Noah. I think it is hard sometimes for us to believe in miracles. Hard for us to comprehend that God has the power to heal someone when medically all hope looks as though it is gone.
I think Noah's life is already a miracle. He has already fought the odds over and over again and has been a testimony for so many. We understand the doctors have run out of options but God is more powerful then any medical procedures.
God has bigger plans for this little man.
Please pray for he can come home, that his body will not reject his feeding tube and he can be with his family again. Most of all, we pray for divine healing.

Boo at the Zoo

Yesterday was a beautiful fall day. We took advantage of being Zoo members and used our free tickets to 'Boo at the Zoo.' We were rather inpressed with all the decorations. They defiantly go all out for this thing. The kids were excited to get to dress up in there customes. With much persuasion, I convinced Cassidy to ware a warmer Tiger costume rather then her sleeping beauty one.
Here is Liam as a ladybug.

Aidan is giving us his best superman pose.

The kids are all dressed up waiting to get inside the gates.

It wasn't as busy as we expected, mainly because it was a weeknight and we were there early. The kids were one of the first in line for a pony ride. They also enjoyed the other carnival rides.

There was a neat pumpkin maze the kids got to run through. All of these people were dressed up interacting with the crowds which was neat. The kids were chased by mummies, witches and pirates.

on the farm

We took a quick trip out to Granny and Grandpa's farm this week. We needed to drop of our trailer for the winter to give us some more room in our garage. It was cold and rainy but warmed up enough for the kids to enjoy the leaves outside on wensday afternoon. It was nice to get out of the house for a few days since we are sick of the constant hammering from the roofers over the weekend. But, our new roof is on and makes the house look a whole lot better.

Here is Granny and Grandpa with the boys. Cassidy refused the picture. She isn't much of a poser when it comes to the camera.

Winter is here????

I recall my last post stating that fall was here, but it seems winter has come a little early as well. This morning we woke up to snow, and lots of it. I am so not ready for this stuff. It is cold and windy outside and not nice at all! I sure hope this stuff melts and we get more fall weather.

Fall is here

A quick update into our lives.
The weather is starting to cool off here, the leaves are changing color and falling to the ground. We are appraoching our very first winter in Winnipeg and that honestly scares us. I don't look forward to the months off being trapped inside and pray for another mild winter. one year ago we made the decision to put our house on the market and make the move. It is hard to believe it has been a year already. (and we never did sell that house!!) We also passed our 6 month anniversary of living in the big city. I still feel like we are still adjusting. Here are some pictures we took a few days ago of the house, it has come A LONG way. Our grass is in and the greenest on the block.

We are waiting on news about this new monday to friday shift for Steven. It sounds very hopeful so please continue to pray. We are also pondering with the idea of staying in this house longer and not selling in spring. As mentioned many times, i do not like it, but I honestly don't know whether it is the house I don't like or if it is I just don't like Winnipeg. If we keep the house longer, the more we will get out of it. Plus, we don't know if we are ready for gigantic mortgage payments on a new home and the cost of this current home makes things very affortable for us right now.
We really enjoy our park across the street. I miss my backyard in Brandon. That is the biggest thing i don't like about this house. We are so glad that this park is right here though. Here are some pictures I snapped of the kids enjoyed a nice fall day.

we got him

For all of you who are wondering, NO that is not the mouse, it was just a picture I found on the internet.
But, we caught one last night, after we FROZE the peanut butter. The three other traps were licked clean. So now we will see if there are more!
and yes, they were set right, we were testing them like crazy. This mouse was so smart, and had nine lives I think.

our new pet

Yes, we have a new pet everyone. Not by choice! A while ago, Steve noticed something move quickly across the floor at night. It thought we might have a mouse. So he set a few traps up but after a few weeks nothing showed up and figured it was nothing.

Until the other day. I wake up early most mornings to work out and what do I see run in the other room, but a mouse! I freaked out, but remained calm. . .until it ran out towards me and started running around like crazy. I started to scream and woke Steve up and demanded he set up traps everywhere. Yes I know I grew up on a farm, but I HATE creepy crawling things of all sizes.
The next day he figures after having all these traps up he should get it for sure. But when the traps our empty, he notices them licked clean of the bait.
Then yesterday afternoon, in the middle of the afternoon, the mouse runs out again under the couch in the living room. And again last night he licks the bait of the trap!! I don't get it, how the heck do you kill a mouse?
I think Steve wants to stay up tonight with his pellet gun, maybe that will do the trick!

Ballet

Cassidy has been taking ballet every saturday morning. She is loving to dance around and it is very good for her socially. She has seperation anxiety and it is good for her to spend some time with a teacher and other kids her age.

My pictures aren't that great from this last time because I was sitting too far away and didn't want to distract them.

On the other hand, Steve has applyed for a new position at work. It is still supervising with CTS but it is a different shift. We are not liking the fact he works all these weekends and this shift would be weekdays only. The catch is it is 3am - 11am. Now really, if you would spend some time in our household you would find that it would work just fine since the kids exhaust me so much that I go to bed early and wake up early. You can pray that he will find monday to friday work. We want to go back to church as a family again.

Our new breakfast nook.

Our new countertop for the breakfast nook arrived and Steve put it in the other day. Still lots of work to do around it but it is looking good. We need to get some nice stools for it now so the kids can sit around it.

After looking at the new countertop I realized how bad the ugly backspash 80's tile looked and started smashing it down. Thankgoodness Steve did not get too mad, just explained how much work it will to patch and paint. I think it will be all worth it. If i notice how bad it looks, buyers will too. The ugly cupboards will have to stay though because it is too expensive for them to be replaced. I think they will blend in once everything is done in there. Our roof is also going to be done in the next two weeks. It is the last expensive thing to do.

Aidan was enjoying helping with this project and really excited to wear his goggles.
