HELP!!
I need some help. I desperatly need a haircut and have been putting it off because i left my hairdresser in Brandon and am really scared that I won't find anyone I like. Please, for those who live in Winnipeg, do you know of any good hairdressers/salons? I am scared to just phone up just anyone in the phonebook and am used to paying good money for a good cut.

TinkerTown
The kids had a blast at Josh's birthday party yesterday! They would have stayed there all day if they could. Here are a selection of photos taken of the event. The kids on the ferris wheel. Cassidy wasn't so sure about this. Especially when we were stopped at the top of the wheel.
Cassidy and I braved the roller coaster. She was fine the first time around but after a while she was getting pretty scared.

Canada Day Weekend
We arrived home safe and sound yesterday morning. We came home earlier yesterday so we could go to tinkertown for the afternoon for Josh's party. Pictures of that will come later. We had a great time camping. Here are some pictures to share our adventures.
The kids here are exploring the rocks. Liam loves to swing!
Here is our green beauty. Isn't she lovely? She kept us warm and dry and quite cozy which is all that matters. I think it was so much easier then tenting.
Liam had to taste everything to make sure it was all ok.
Sunday we spent most of the day at the beach. The kids loved the sand and I think Liam ate more then he played with. The water was cold but refreshing and we all got loads of sun.
Liam spent most of the time at the beach napping.
Back at camp Daddy had some fun blowing bubbles.
Over all our trip was fun and we made good memories. Cassidy wasn't feeling her best and I think had a touch of heat stroke but she still enjoyed herself. Liam has started to walk but not the best and we still had to carry him everywhere we went. He spend alot of time crawling over rocks, dirt and mud.
Camping with three kids is defiantly hard but I think the more we do it, the easier it will become.

this weekend. . .
I have been 'told' by a couple people now for some new pics on the blog. We are off camping to Falcon Lake this weekend so I promise I will have LOTS of pics to share of our first camping trip in our tent trailer! The kids are very excited and counting down the sleeps! We pray for a nice sunny weekend, with no rain.

sweetly broken
Sweetly Broken
- Jeremy Riddle
To The Cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of it's suffering I do drink, of it's work
I do sing
For on it my Savior, both bruised
and crushed
Showed that God is love and God is Just
At the Cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love, I'm
Sweetly broken, wholly surrendered
What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given through Christ crucified
You've called me out of death
You've called me into life
And I was under Your wrath, not through
the cross I'm reconciled
In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is your faithfulness

the park across the street. . .
Last night, like most nights, we took the kids across the street to the park. They LOVE this part of the house. I don't like the fact they can see it from the front window because they will sit and stare, asking every five minutes if we can go. It sure helps since we downsized in yard space. The kids love the play structure and the swings, Liam could care less. He just likes to eat the rocks, and everything else he can find on the ground.

a little glimpse into our lives. . .
Just a little update on us. As most of you know, within a few months, Steve is already full time permanent with Canada post. This would have been almost impossible to achieve if we were still in Brandon. He was stuck in a yucky night shift (11pm - 7am) working downtown but just found out he got moved to evenings. (3pm - 11pm) This is so much better and he will actually get a normal sleep. The reason for the plant and depot work rather then the mail delivery he used to do in Winnipeg is that he has to put a year in the plant/depots before he can start outside here in Winnipeg. So you can all pray that by the new year he is full time days.
As for me, I am still at home with the kids. I don't have much time for anything else lately. Even the ebay selling has slowed down (and buying as well!!) Aidan is becoming such a little boy rather then a toddler and can even write and spell his own name as well as a few others. Cassidy is a definate princess and everything is her way or the highway! and no, Liam does not walk yet. He is approaching his 13 month birthday and has walked from the coffee table to the couch (aprox. 3 or 4 steps) and that is it. I know how all you moms with slow walkers feel like now! Your arms are very tired and sick of carrying them.
We are adjusting to the fast pace life of Winnipeg. The kids love all the things we can do here, and I love all the stores I can shop at! There are many times I think back to our cozy quiet home and a quiet street in Brandon and miss it. But then I am reminded of how small it was.
Another thing we have had to adjust to is the fact it doesn't take a few minutes to get to your destination, although we still have a 7-11 just down the street. (what else do we really need!) but Tim Hortons is quite a trek! As well, even though we now live close to family, it still takes 1/2 hour to drive to visit any of them!
But really, Winnipeg isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. We know we dont live in a great area but even though I have had to chase a few dogs out of our yard, we have never felt unsafe or insecure. Steve doesn't even have a baseball bat beside his bed, although he has a few guns in our closet! (ha ha!)
When I look back to our journey over the last few months I can defiantly see how God has brought us to where we are today. At the time, it seemed scary and impossible, but here we are and he worked every little thing out. We didn't understand why he wouldn't let our house sell, or why all the good houses we wanted to buy were selling, but we are now so glad we kept the house in Brandon and we were able to stumble across this home here in Winnipeg like we did.
also. . .we found an amazing church very close to where we live, just down the street actually. This church has an amazing children's program and the kids love it. As well, they are very focused on outreach and changing the Elmwood community. Since we live in Elmwood, we were able to share that vision with them. Finding a church was something we did worry about, but again, God had that worked out already.
. . .give thanks to the Lord for he is good, His love endures forever. . .

hot hot hot!!
It has been really hot and muggy here lately! and our central air decided to stop working yesterday, for some weird reason! So as we wait for it to get fixed, the kids are finding all ways possible to cool off. Liam is starting to really enjoy playing outside and playing in the pool, although he does not like the splashing from Aidan and Cassidy. again Liam has taken the odd step here and there but still chooses to crawl to every destination.
Liam has also learned a new word and can't stop saying it. "Aidan" actually, it sounds like ADA. But he says it over and over as he chases after Aidan. He is turning into quite the little character and has many sounds and expressions.

summer is here!
After being in the city for a couple months, we have come to the realization that there is a zillion more things to do in here for fun with the kids. The kids are excited about Josh's birthday at Tinkertown in a couple weeks and July long weekend we are taking our first venture with our tent trailer up to Falcon Lake. We will also do some more camping in July with Steve's family at St.Malo. We set up the trailer the other day and the kids were really excited about sleeping in it!
We took in the Children's Festival at the Forks today along with Sherri, Denis and Julie and Ashton. The kids had a blast! Here are some pics
Check out there new rides!! Liam dancing to the music!
The kids playing in the kindermusic tent and making bracelets in the craft tent.
The kids LOVED the music. Here they are dancing to "Music with Marni" I have to admit, she was rather entertaining. The way the kids all danced at the front reminded me of a mini mosh pit!

Summer Fun!
We have been reaching some super hot tempatures so we have been enjoying as much time outside as we can! Our HUGE trailer of storage arrived on saturday so we are now unpacking. Does anyone need any toys????? I think my kids could open there own Toys R Us, or at least a nice big garage sale! We are officially moved into the house and have cleaned and said goodbye to the rented town house, which I don't miss at all! Here are some pics of Liam hanging with Grandma while we were moving in all our furniture. He was really excited to have his rocking horse!
Today we took the kids to the Zoo! They had a great time and would have stayed there all day!
